The June Round

This contest round has just ended, and the results are available at the June viewing page.
A new contest round will start soon.

How to enter

1. Read the contest rules before you start producing any entry.
2. Use Imagine to create an image that is your interpretation of the theme for the current competition.
3. While creating the picture, make notes of the creational process.
4. Submit the picture.

How to submit

• Entries shall be submitted through email to the address cjo@kiruna.se
• The subject line of this email shall read IMAGINE CONTEST ENTRY
• The email shall include;
  • The picture in JPEG format, no larger than 100 kB
    Note: Please do not use progressive JPEG's
  • A text file, containing;
    • picture title
    • brief description of the picture
    • your name
    • your email address
    • your homepage URL (if any)
    • version of Imagine used
    • platform (ie computer) used
    • specification of all non-original objects and brushmaps used
    • rendering time (optional)
• The email may also include;
  • A zip-file with any used objects and/or brushmaps
  • Longer description of the creational process (ie a "how-to")
• Submitted entries will be acknowledged with an email within 3 days. If you do not recieve any acknowledgement you must assume that your submission was not recieved.
• Entries must be submitted by the deadline. Entries received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Voting

Following the submission deadline, all entries will be anonymously displayed on this website.
Visitors will then have one week to vote for their favourite pictures.
Anyone may vote.
The picture receiving the highest score wins.

Winner

When the winning picture has been decided through public vote, it will be announced by email to the winner and the Imagine Mailing List and on this website.
First prize is a t-shirt printed with the winning entry, kindly sponsored to this contest by Impulse, Inc.

If not already included in the submission email, the winner and other top placing entries are recommended to post short descriptions of how their respective image was created, to be included with the pictures on this website. This could include textures used, modeling techniques, design techniques, and other tips and tricks.
