The sword is modeled on the roman 'Gladis', a short sword favored by the Romans
There are no brushmaps used on the sword, only a bunch of textures including: Ivory, dirt, bump, metal, dented, and a bunch more on the scene which uses One brushmap for the 'bricks'. The scene includes several lights with 'caustic' added to give it a fire look.
The sword includes a couple of 'cages' on the top and bottom of the handle that is made of a toroid, that was laticed and then textured.
