I started the blade by adding an axis and adding lines, adding another axis and adding lines, then filling to edge line. The hilt was made in the Spline Editor and rounded. The handle was just a cylinder and hand edited to expand the center. The finale and the blade ornaments were also made in the Spline Editor and rounded. The handle rings and other adornments were added last. There are some custom brush maps created by myself and then added for appeal. I used the metals.itx for most of the knife and one weave.itx texture for the handle. I also wanted to display it as a still life with the apples.
