The bump map used in rendering was based on a celtic clipart design from: http://www.celtic-art.net/index2.htm
The moon background and the blue reflection map were both made using the Flamin Pear plugin Lunarcell. Very cool - check em out: http://www.flamingpear.com/
The pig-sticker blade was actually formed from a modified sphere and looks much better than the butterknife blade which was constructed flat. If there was more time I'd do it again but such is life.
