The topic was a knife. I just considered this a really big knife. I will eventually tweak this into Stormbringer. I thought it was a good start. I thought the leather thong would be really hard, but using replicate with translation on a simple plane and extruding it gave me what I was after. The Celtic carvings object was created from an image file with convert image. I rendered 3 separate images and composited them, otherwise its all Imagine. All 3 images were quickrendered from the detail editor.
