![Open in new window](javascript:CaricaFoto("http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/wontolla/th_keymorph.jpg");) I started looking through the files and found that I had made two versions of the key with differently sized "handles", so I made a little (?) morphing animation just for fun, and threw in some rotation as well. It's supposed to cycle but you can't have everything... (I think I've got something that can turn AVIs into GIFs but it's been so long I don 't remember.) And no, there is nothing wrong with your monitor. For some reason the new renders come out GREEN! Guess I need to work a bit with the materials...

Finally (?) got my serious key (and lock) picture uploaded, or rather pictures as I wanted to show the lock open and closed. In case anyone's curious, I made the old objects more presentable (?) by resetting all color values and loading the metal.itx texture, which I set to bumpy brass on the key and lock body, and smooth chrome on the shackle. I also fixed a little problem with the logo stencil. (Briefly, loading old 4-bit colors into a modern 8-bit color system turns pure white to off-white, which is particularly annoying with stencils.)

A little problem with image links like the one at the top of this page. The new forum will shrink embedded pictures and add code to display the full size version. The problem is that with image links you get one link inside another, and only the show-full-size one gets processed when clicked.
Oh well. Here's a text link to the animation I mentioned above. (Hmm, looks like PB videos have stopped working with Firefox again...)
