Hi everyone, it's been a while since I have posted here but I still can't stop playing with this software. I have a new animation for you featuring the the uss enterprise. I still can't figure out how to add textures the her and my lighting is very crude but the animation is what I like I have added a few pods and shuttles for effect. I hope you like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMBxr-RHOm4

Looking good Colin, it's not easy animating in Imagine, but as far as I can see you are getting it done, far more then I have ever done :)

Will study it more in detail when I have normal internet speeds...

Updated movie with consistant lighting and extra scenes. Looking back I wasn't happy with some things as I tend to rush things when I have an idea in my head.
departing spacedock
wormhole scene is next on my list but having some trouble. tried a brushmap on a tube but results where poor, aiming for something like this
wormhole effect

That looks like it could be managed by a path through a long twisted cylinder or by rotating a twisted torus over the camerapoint... both textured accordingly...

i.e. create a path and extrude a disformed plane along it while rotating it... do in and fine tune that rotating and scale on the different sections as you like while keeping it on the path... then use same path for camera, maybe adding rotation and angle shifts on the camera over time...

should produce something similiar, texturing the object might be harder... have to find the right combination for that...
