Unable to open IM IFW219. Window opens as follows: "Application failed to start because LTFIL1ON.DLL was not
found. Reinstalling program may fix this problem." MY downloaded copy of IM IFW219 is a zip file. Can I copy the
missing DLL and paste it in the unzipped 219 file?
Would greatly appreciate any helpful suggestions!

Frank,
The LTFIL10N.dll needs to live in the imagine folder, where all the other specific dll files are. That could be in "program files\imagine" folder or just "imagine" folder on any drive. Do you have that file? If not, I could email it to you. You can copy the entire folder and place it on another system, but all the files need to be there for it to work.

If I remember correctly, 2.19 was part of the CUP program and may not have been a complete update. On mine it was installed in the old imagine directory and worked properly.
So, if you have it in another directory, copying should be no problem

Hi, Frank,

Have you got the 2.0 version of IFW?

All the required dll's, etc, etc are included in that download. The CUP downloads, in general just contain the main executable.

I'd strongly recommend renaming 2.19 'Imagine.exe' to 'Imagine219.exe', then slotting it in the same directory as Imagine 2.0.

That way you can swap between both versions- they even run happily side by side. I've got versions 1.0, 2.0 and 2.19 all sitting quite comfortably together in the same folder. The only thing I have had to do, is make extra folders for 2.0+ Textures and Effects- as they aren't compatible with version 1.0.

Additionally I tend to add an identifier to the objects filename, so I know what version of Imagine it was done for.

(You may wonder why I still use IFW 1.0? That's because there's still a few Amiga Imagine users out there, and I want to still be able to do things that are compatible with IFA.)

Hope this helps.

All the Best,

Kevin.
(I tried to reply last night- but for some reason the site seemed to be down for a while.)

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for your help. I did what you suggested and
it worked fine. Sorry to be so late in responding.
I was having my computer switched over to 64bit from 32bit
with new power supply and new video/graphics card and things
did not go so well. The new system played havoc with my
programs and files. Took longer than I expected to get
things back to working the way I like.
Hope all is well with you.
Regards,
Frank

most of the time i use imagine for quick modeling, because of some habits and lazyness to dig firther in cinema, maya and etc.

still happy with imagine!

but now i want to animate and i discover my effects does not work in imagine219.
do i need other effects? i tried the current download on this site but that seem to bee im 2.0? I tried these effects in imagine219 but that wont work.

any suggestions for organising/download the neccesary files?

thanx in advance

You need at least the 2.16 CUP installed also, it has new effects

Personally I have ALL the versions installed from 2.0 to 2.19

And a special effects folder for all the versions
