Never could figure out How to rig a Train and box cars to follow a path |

I've never been able to figure out how to create a model that would follow a path in the stage editor, where the model is a train with linked boxcars. Say for example, you have an engine with a boxcar and caboose.
I've tried to make three paths for each car, but I could never time it right, and the motion looks disconnected, as the objects are on three unique paths. Is there a way to connect the three train cars to follow a single path, where each car turns along the path at the appropriate time and position behind it's proceeding car? Thanks for your help.

Take the version 2.17. and use the function "Conform Group to Path."
In version 2.18 and 2.19 there is an error! Strangely, no grouped objects can bend on the path :( Anyway, I always use the version 2.17 for such animations, that works perfectly.
