Hi all.

Imagine gradient textures are very useful stuffs. They use the axis to work.

Would be useful other types of gradients that works with slope, incident angle , light incidence, distance to object, distance to camera and working on all channels.

Write a new texture code is no easy. Anyone is capable to do this? Would bbe wonderful!

Snow.itx, by Milan Polle for the Amiga version was very good - the Axis set 'vertical' then the texture used the angle of the objects' surface from 'vertical' to decrease both the bump map and colouring. So you'd go from thick, bumpy and white on horizontal surfaces to nothing on vertical surfaces. I used it extensively for the flow-stone in my Cave picture 'inner space' to give a clean, white covering for the rock.

All the best,

There are quite a few textures out there that use the surface angle, and a lot that modify it (bumpmaps)

I have tried to make a texture work myself, but I fail at the moment I need to make a dll of it it seems...

my dll's did not become compatible with imagine it seems... might be a version thing
