Test rendering for a realistic underwater animation
This is a test rendering for a realistic underwater animation with real animated fish. If the animation is done is rendered, I upload it here. The water and caustics are generated with Volumetrics. The bubbles are generated by the external particles Imagine module "Splash".

really cool! I bet you'll find a way in Imagine to mimmick the fluid dynamics involved here like water droplets splashing around the sphere

I had already thought of that. But then I rejected it because I wanted to make the workshop example simple. But it's not that hard. I still have an Imagine add-on program, which means "Splash Particles" ... so you can also create fluids via blobs in Imagine. The program calculates the data beforehand and these are then implemented by means of an insert function in the Stage Editor. This is almost the same as the "bake function" in Blender or 3dsMax
