Deflector dish lighting 1
Well here is how I acchieved the Deflector Dish illuminating.
I first started with a light positioned in front of the dish set to to the full intensity and colour I wanted. I figured out that my animations ran at 30 frames per second, purely by accident, and decided how many seconds I wanted the animation to run for. This gave me a set number of frames, from that I was able to calculate how many frames and steps needed to change from zero intensity to the intensity I wanted eg 0 to 2.5. This turned out to be roughly 25 steps increasing the intensity for each group of frames by 0.1 per step.for 25 steps. Each change lasts for about 6 frames of animation. When viewed as an animation you think the light builds up in intensity like a dimmer switch but it is simply a lot of small changes of a short priod of time, roughly 6 seconds.
