Helix Nebula NGC 7293
You can download the project here:
http://www.imagine3d.org/modules/wfdo ... glefile.php?cid=1&lid=366

Pretty realistic Imagine3D Volumetric model of the famous Helix Space Nebula NGC 7293 - also known as the "Eye of God".

The project consists entirely of volumetric objects and no textures or brushes have been used. For the production of the model I needed about 30 minutes. The hardest part was actually mixing the colors in the volumetrics and finding the right brightness levels.

If you would like to know how to create structure volumetrics in Imagine, just download my project and take a closer look at my grouped helix nebula object in the detail editor.

PS. Such space nebulae are very hard to create. Also in Blender or 3DS Max such objects need a lot of memory and an extremely high rendering time. That's why I optimized this object for Imagine3D so that it looks very realistic and also renders extremely fast!
