Enterprise - TOS 3
This is a series of pics at different angles of the original series Enterprise ship,
that I modelled and textured as accurately as possible .
Its not too bad, but could have been a lot better.
I was pretty new to Imagine at the time.

 Re: Enterprise - TOS 3
It’s a nice model, looks a bit more like the original bridge, before it was modified.
Funny how it is grey, that is the colour I nearly always painted it, my Aurora model, (1970), was painted gloss white with silver details to match the box art and had amber plastic Bussard ramscoops! Yet it appeared white, grey and even blue on the original series. The 12-foot studio model was more a duck egg blue, at the time of filming.
I took my Amiga models data from the blueprint set that was released and that was a lot more technical than I expected!
Love the dark lighting. The people at ILM seem to thinks all spaceships travel with an accompanying nearby star to light them!

 Re: Enterprise - TOS 3
This was done way back somewhere before 1995 when I was still a newbie to Imagine. It was modelled on from my AMT model and what little reference material I had at the time. Definitely didn't have any blueprints to work from, just some general sketches (some of which I drew myself several years back in tech-drawing in highschool) and the model itself, and the occasional paused tv screen

I also hate the uniform bright ambient lighting in so many space scenes, but I guess they want to show off all the detail.

There's more pics of the enterprise from several different angles in my Amiga relics folder if you're interested

some were rendered with an Amiga 500, others with and Amiga 1200. Can't remember which one these were rendered on, but probably early A1200 with Imagine 2.0 from a coverdisk with no manual. Things are quite hazy from back then tho ;)
